We are a group of friendly, committed and passionate musicians. Our teachers are hand-picked for their proven ability to relate well to young students, along with their capacity to inspire. All of our current staff are qualified academically and have between 2 and 12 years of experience teaching guitar to primary age children.

Staff Training

All new staff are taught our teaching methods and curriculum, as well as the reasons behind their implementation. Prior to being deployed in school staff also receive sufficient hands on, in school lesson training with our lead teacher.

Staff Monitoring

All staff are monitored by our lead teacher Paul Curtis once every term. The member of staff is provided with brief feedback on site which is subsequently followed up by a detailed debriefing. As part of the monitoring process the following areas are addressed:

– Knowledge and understanding
– Planning
– Classroom management and behaviour
– Monitoring and assessment
– Student learning and progress
– Teaching strengths
– Areas that the students may have responded or learned better

Continuous Improvement

Our teachers are encouraged to regularly share information about what works and what doesn’t. We are constantly looking for the 1% ers. These are the small marginal gains we continuously seek in order to improve our service year on year.

We have implemented a Safer Recruitment Policy to ensure our staff are suitable to work with young children.
